Signings & Events
For the last several years, I've used love stories to share the realities of upward mobility. Yes, it's real. No matter how tough the journey, a gorgeous life on Earth is possible. I've tried to share glimpses of this in my novels-- my failures and my triumphs - so readers could be entertained and inspired by storylines that feel real.
I normalize wealth and ambition in my writing because many of us were raised to believe we do not deserve the finer things in life. We grew up not even seeing that as possible if we weren't born into it. Worse yet, so many of us are shamed out of trying to become more, or we are guilted and bullied into putting others before ourselves. A lifetime of sabotage and cycling holds us back in ways we cannot see.
In this political and social environment, what's lost in all the noise is how valuable we are.
Our labor is valuable. Our hearts are priceless. Where we choose to put our time and attention can literally change this world. Our laughter carries worth. Our hugs are healing and medicinal. Our passionate rhythm is art. Collectively as a people, and individually, we breathe life into the American skeleton and we are the fat on its bones.
Yes, that means you.
No matter what you're doing for money, or where you live, or who raised you, you are the gift to your environment.
It's not easy to abandon generational mindsets and patterns that convince you of otherwise. Yet, upward mobility (however that looks for you) requires you to let go of limiting mindsets and paradigms- yes, even if they came from beloved family and friends.
This is how I've prevailed against the odds throughout my life, and I've received nearly every dream and wish I've ever wanted. Now I'm talking about this kind of fierce focus and energy with anyone who dares to dream. Our unique purpose and calling are the only way we thrive despite all that's unfolding now.
Let's talk about how to build the world we deserve. This is our time, and it's perfect for a new vision and new energy.
